1) The energy conducted through the materials is dependant on the temperature differences which are dynamic.
2) The conduction coeff. (W/m) is constant for most materials in the given temperature ranges that building structural parts see.
3) There exists a way to model PCM materials that are special materials which exibit transient temperature related property changes, though I don't think this changes the conduction.
4) There is a way to model "movable" insulation, but I've not done so. SurfaceControl:MoveableInsulation

For example, if the temperature of the external node was greater than that of the internal node, than the conductivity would be X, if not, Y.
