Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] RE: Create a new energy plus zone icon

Go to the helpdesk. .. you can download the transition tool for every version from there. The one that comes with the current version only translates the previous version.

I had the same problem and just found that the new sketchup make does not work for legacy open studio. I was able to install the older version even though it is for windows 7 and I am running windows 8.. http://help.sketchup.com/en/article/60107 Only issue is now new open studio does not show up. Guess it is either new open studio/new sketchup or legacy open studio/legacy sketchup..

It sounds like you may also have the newer version of OpenStudio that uses an OSM model vs. an IDF file installed as well. In the OSM model geometry is contained in a space, and then one or more spaces are assigned to a group. If you are using both the legacy version of OpenStudio (that uses IDF files) and the newer OSM based OpenStudio, you can switch back and forth between them in SketchUp.

Under the plugin menu you should see "Select OpenStudio Version". Change it to "Legacy OpenStudio 1.x" and then restart SketchUp. If that doesn't work, then send an email to OpenStudio@... and we can figure out what is happening.
