That looks like a difficalt problem to solve. Try and draw the loops as they are in the idf (not as you would like them to be, but as the idf describes them now). The consider the logic. Perhaps you need a bypass somewhere or a small buffer tank. Also, I would reduce the simulation timestep interval time, AND I would test specific days, not a whole year.

You could also output mass flows and temps at relevant nodes on your system.
