[EnergyPlus_Support] RE: Floor area of spaces stacked into a single thermal zone

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I ended up splitting the spaces into 3 separate thermal zones. I really need the correct floor area to be reported by E+, among other things.


It's a shame there isn't a more convenient way to do this. I have other spaces that are separated by plenums. In that case, if I group them into a single thermal zone, the resulting floor area is what I'm expecting.


I don't think zone multipliers are a good solution here, unless all the zones on the same floor can be multiplied (and keep correct non-adiabatic adjacencies), which is not the case in the model I'm dealing with.
