Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] overhang and fin material

Thats weird. The only physical way that is possible is to have only north facing windows for a house in the northern hemisphere. What weather file are you using? Does the error report have any telling errors?

Thanks jean
i try "ShadingProperty:Reflectance" but with different solar reflectance i got the same result.

Check the "Building" object, Field: Solar Distribution must not be set to FullExteriorWithReflections or better.

Thanks linda.
but when i set different solar reflectance in "shading property: reflectance" for shadings i did not get new result and i have the same heating and cooling energy consumption.
i should just set the "shading property: reflectance" or there is another setting i should do?

Shading surfaces are not part of the thermal load on the building and though they can have reflectance, they do not really have constructions such as the rest of the building elements have.
