RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: what's the output variable for solar radiation incident on external surfaces, both walls and windows?

I am just pointing out that any intensity, or “per Area,” incident values are going to be the same for both the subsurface and its surrounding base surface.  This is because the solar shading model operates at the base surface level.  Any outputs for the base surface that are not intensity will be totaled for only the surrounding area, not including the window.

Thanks, Brent!

Do you mean that the "Surface" in "Surface Outside Face Incident Solar Radiation Rate per Area” refers to the entire and the complete base surface on which a window is located, rather than just the wall surface surrounding the window surface, i.e. a wall surface with a window hole on it?
