It is a single year that starts in one year and ends in the next. DATA PERIODS,1,1,Period 1,Sunday,9/1/2013,8/31/2014
From what I understand about the object is that it could work for either mid year start dates (similar to commonly accessible utility bills) or could span more than a single year with very similar methods. Â
- The attached files show how to properly setup the idf and epw. The weather file was generated with a program developed by a user some time ago and then the epw file was modified a bit by me. The weather converter was not used, however it would be interisting to see if it works as expected with the changes in start and end dates. Hopefully it is useful for others to get an idea of what is needed for this object and weather file.
- I think what is not very clear in the documentation is if the custom weather file is the .csv file format (created from the weather generator opening a .epw or generating form some other source) or the .epw format with more than a year of data actual date order. I suspect the latter?

- Jim is right, of course - as usual.
- I can send you both a file that does a custom range and a weather file.
- You will need to hand create the weather file (appending the 2nd year onto the first or similar).
- Ã? I would send it to you privately.Ã?Â

- Marko,
- The purpose of the CustomRange object is for >365 day weather years, as I understand it.? I think this object bbecame available about 2 years ago.? I was one of those who requessted it so that it would be more practical to model existing buildings where the electricity and gas billing periods extended for longer than one calendar year. As it happens, I have not tested it yet, but expect to do so soon.
