It's very easy to do the direct/diffuse split with the WeatherConverter utility program, just input the global horizontal alone and the program should then calculate the direct/diffuse split using the Perez Ineichen model. However, you should take a look at the results to see if they're reasonable, particularly at sunrise and sunset hours. You should also make certain that the global horizontal you input is for the preceeding time step, and not an average over the time step, i.e., for Hour 1 it should be the solar between 00:00 and 01:00, NOT between 12:30 and 0:30 .
