Hi Simona,

I've not used the Open Studio plugin so I don't know how it interprets the facing direction of the Sketchup surfaces, but give it a try ans see what it does.  I use the gModeller plugin to generate IDF files, this takes all the surfaces that make up a zone and works out which is the inside and outside face of each relative to the zone and then puts the points in the correct order.

Many thanks Donald. I checked the I/O reference and the Tpis and Tricks. I will try to fix it using the reverse face command in Sketchup. Does it make sense? I am looking for a quick way to solve it from the sketchup model without redrawing all the spaces. The error arose because I mirrored one of the apartment of the typical floor plan of my case study.

The azimuth of one side of the door should be the opposite of the other side.  e.g. if the door surface in the bathroom zone has azimuth 250 then  the door surface in the corridor zone should have azimuth 70 (250degrees-180degrees).  The facing direction of a surface depends on the order in which the co-ordinates are defined (clockwise or anti-clockwise).  The two sides of the same door will have the same coordinates but defined reverse order.

When viewed from outside their zone, all surfaces will have coordinates defined in the order determined by GlobalGeometryRules.

I created the model geometry in sketchup 2015 using the OpenStudio Legacy Plugin and edited it in EnergyPlus 8.2. 

I matched all the surfaces and defined the boundary conditions for all the adjacent zones but for few of them the following warning appears:
