Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Refrigeration Energy Increase by Adding DOAS on HVAC System

Hi,
I am not sure, you need to test the object, also I haven't tested DOAS as such.

I think, better post your new question with a "new topic" and many could see it and help you easily.

Cheers.

Hi Tilek,

Thanks for the answer. I already checked the average temperature and humidity ratio between the two results. And you are true, the temperature and humidity ratio in retail zone increase after adding DOAS into the system, it causes the display case energy increase. This temperature increases because the DOAS supply air setpoint is higher than the zone temperature (actually, the cooling system is off because the zone temperature is below cooling setpoint).  I just realized  that outdoor air flow rate to the zone only works if the HVAC system is in on condition. But I have another question, if I want to make different system, ventilation with unconditioned air (using outdoor air temperature), how can I model it? I am thinking about using ZoneVentilation:DesignFlowRate, Will energyplus include this object to calculate the zone cooling load?

Thanks!
