That is strange. ppm is a concentration. Perhaps the generation can be desribed in a "change in concentration rate" ...d_ppm/s?
ÂThanks Jim. I found ASHRAE 62.1-2007 the CO2 generation rate is 0.0084 cfm/met/person. Now i will reverse calculate generation rate based on ppm from experimental data. Thanks,On Fri, Feb 26, 2016 at 12:06 AM, Jim Dirkes jim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [EnergyPlus_Support] <EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:ÂJaved,You are correct.m3/s is a rate (the speed at which the contaminant is introduced to the zone).  ppm is a concentration, the current amount of contaminant. You'll have to estimate the rate.--On Thu, Feb 25, 2016 at 1:18 PM, Javed Iqbal eee.javed@xxxxxxxxx [EnergyPlus_Support] <EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:ÂHi,I'm just looking at the ZoneContaminantSourceAndSink:CarbonDioxide object and noticing that the generation rate is in m3/s. The monitoring data I have measures ppm unfortunately. Do you know a way to use ppm in e+? It seems to me like the units probably can't or shouldn't be converted.ÂThanks in advance,--Javed Iqbal, LEED AP, CEASr. Energy AnalystÂJames V Dirkes II, PE, BEMP, LEED AP
