At OpenStudio there are more options to control the orientation of the daylight control sensors (see attached image). However, I do not see these options at EnergyPlus. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Thanks Alex. I checked the DaylightingDeviceShelt.idf. It seems that it is different from what I am looking for. I want to put a daylighting sensor on the ceiling that measures the illuminance of the room vertically and downwards. Do you think it is possible to do in EnergyPlus?
