Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] DX Cooling Curves

Hi Chris,

You can use the same curve by choosing "Other" for the "DX Coil Type:" input field and "Flow" for "Independent Variable:" input field. This changes the data entry field to generic independent variable.

Enter PLR data for "X: Independent Variable" field. The object generated for this entry will be CAP as function of PLR and EIR as a function of PLR. Note that the curve object name generated will labeled as *OtherCAPFFF and *OtherEIRFFF. You may rename it as you wish aft generating the curve.

Let me know if you run into a problem.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] DX Cooling Curves

The EnergyPlus installation includes an excel spreadsheet for
calculating DX cooling curve coefficients. That spreadsheet includes
two curves - the cooling capacity curve based on indoor wetbulb and
outdoor air drybulb and the cooling EIR based on those temperatures.
Missing is the cooling EIR based on part load.

Is anyone aware of a spreadsheet that allows for calculation of this
third curve?
