Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] DOAS serving VAV compartment fans

I think the reference is to E+' inability to have two different air loops serving a single zone.

I don't remember (and can't look it up at the moment), but v8.8 might have improved on that issue.

Regardless, a DOAS is often used with zone-based systems such as chilled beam or WSHP. In those cases, the DOAS can become the sole air loop, providing outdoor air to the zones. The zone system (e.g., WSHP) provides temperature and humidity control.

Most zone equipment can be connected to a DOAS system. Where are you seeing "EnergyPlus does not include the capability to model a DOAS providing outdoor air to another HVAC system"?

I am reviewing an energy model submission done with EnergyPlus 8.7. The energy modeling report notes that EnergyPlus does not include the capability to model a DOAS providing outdoor air to another HVAC system. I am not very well versed on the capabilities of EnergyPlus but this seens like a fairly significant shortcoming if it is in fact true?
