I think and air flow network could do what you need. A leaky return duct running through the atrium would pull in the air you need to extract. However, I was not able to get more than the example model to work.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Coupling Exhaust only Zone to AHU
Hi guys,
Do you know of a way to couple an exhaust only zone (makeup air via zone mixing object) to a central AHU?
I have the overflow from office zones spilling over into a central atrium that is the main exhaust point to bring the air back to the central AHU. I can use zone exhaust fan objects and zone mixing objects to reduce the extract air in the
office zones and shift the office air into the atrium at the extract temperature, but I don't see how I can create an airloop for the atrium with zero supply and really large exhaust. It would be required to get the even warmer air temperature of the air accounted
for in the heat recovery of the central air handling unit.
Any suggestions?
