Subject: modeling a pre-cooilng coil

 

I tried to model a pre-cooling coil (for the OA stream) by creating an
additional system that has 0 kW/cfm fan power and by assigning the main
system's OA to come from this OA system. However, in the simulation
results, the OA system had 0 MBTU for cooling/heating. In the OA system
I put a dummy zone on the system with no load in the hopes that the load
would be controlled by the OA demand from the zones in the main system.
What am I doing wrong?
