Since you are on yahoo mail, you may be seeing more graphics that some of
us do.

What I'm seeing now is usually:

Then, I have a longer trailer that comes with individual messages. I don't
consider an ad:

So far, the EnergyPlus archives are about as permanent as one can make
them. I say this because of our low message numbers. On another group I
am on (where we share pictures of dogs and other attachments), we recently
came close to their limit and so they reduced some of the messages. After
that reduction, their are about 11,000 messages in the archive. At the
EnergyPlus_Support rate of ~150 per month (only since the last 3 months),
it is going to take us a while to reach that limit.

Even before then, I may turn some of the messages into a "digest" and then
put them in the files area. You would be able to download those into a
searchable form.

In other words, if your mailbox is getting full, I think you can delete
them and we will try to provide an archive in a different way.

I personally use Eudora for my email program. It is set up with very nice
folders, etc for archiving and in addition, these are all stored in flat
files. (They even have a free version which comes, of course, with
ads!) And has built in search capability. If yahoo free mail supports pop
clients, you could use that. Or forward the yahoo group posts to a
different email account where you could store more.
