[EnergyPlus_Support] simple ventilation COMIS
i am not sure if i am being able to express these questions clearly, but i'll try.
if i specify X(m3/s) - Design Volume Flow Rate of outside air into the zone... how does it account for this air leaving the zone i.e. from where?
now, if i specify an opening (COMIS Surface Data) at the top of the tall zone as 'outlet' from where this air can leave... then it overrides the ventilation control at zone level in COMIS Zone Data and simple VENTILATION.
these two cannot be mixed - right?
what i am trying to do is - set the volume of outside air flowing in through these vents at different heights on the facade according to a certain pressure flow equation (not temp, size of opening, or any enthalpic controls) i.e. for Y(Pa) of pressure difference across the vent it allows a certain volume of air through it. partially controlled by natural forces (inside and outside) but at the same time CONSTANT over a wide range of driving pressure differences. once i have established this, i'd like to control it to a time of day schedule, for night vent, etc.
does EnergyPlus support this pressure-flow model? if yes - then where & how can i enter this relation? should it be in COMIS Surface Data...?
hope i've been able to put into words clearly!
thanks.
