Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] venting schedule



In COMIS Zone Data, the Venting Schedule is an on/off control for venting.  If 
this schedule is specified, then venting is active whenever the schedule value 
is greater than zero.  When the schedule value is zero, venting is disabled for 
that zone.  This schedule is not used as a multiplier to the opening factor.  
So, in your example below, the opening factor should always be 0.5.

If venting controls are specified in COMIS Surface Data, they will override the 
venting controls in COMIS Zone Data.

Note that venting controls only work for exterior windows.

This is according to the descriptions in the Input Output Reference, p. 249-
257, pdf p. 275-283).
