Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Cooling coil error



Reviewing the eio output file component sizing results, shows the following for 
the first chilled water coil:

 Component Sizing, COIL:Water:Cooling, ZONE 1 COOLING COIL, Design Air Outlet 
Temperature [C],   13.000    
 Component Sizing, COIL:Water:Cooling, ZONE 1 COOLING COIL, Design Water Inlet 
Temperature [C],   12.000    

These values are too close.  Even though this is specified as a counterflow 
coil, the delta T should be greater.  I am not a chilled water coil expert, but 
I would expect to see at least 3 or 4 deg. C difference here.

Change the "Design loop exit temperature" (the chilled water supply 
temperature) in the PLANT SIZING object for the chilled water loop.  I changed 
this to 7C and the coil sizing errors went away.

We will try to make this particular error message more meaningful as well.
