[EnergyPlus_Support] a problem with model: thermal storage:ice
Hi,
I am now trying to simulate an ice thermal storage system with
EnergyPlus, and I have studied the 5zoneicestorage and
Detailedicestorage example file as reference. In this file, in the
charging mode, the chilled water setpoint is set to be -5. However, at
this tempreture the water is already frozen. Usually, this tempreture
is given to glycol or brine. What's more, in the <Input and Output
reference> and <Engineering Reference>, I can not clearly find out the
loop for glycol. Since it has suggestted that the ice storage tank
should be placed in the chilled water supply side outlet branch, and
must be followed by a pipe component in series, I have some
difficulties in adding purchased cooling in cw supply loop, because
the supply side have two type of fluid: one is water and another is
glycol that only one bypass branch is not proper.
I am now in urgent need for the answer. Thank you very much!
