[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Using and/or post processing the output variables from EnergyPlus

Dear Natasa,

I'm currently experiencing the same challenge namely telling/forcing
GenOpt to select a reported variable of interest addressed during a
certain timestep from the entire simulation period (e.g. 24-hours).

I'm aware that I somehow need to pre-process the eso-file and isolate
the reported variable of interest and subsequently have GenOpt
process the reassembled output (e.g. eplusout.eso ->
electricity:facility_hourly.csv).

Thus I was wondering if you were able to solve the issue?

I appreciate your feedback,

Sandro

reports. I use the html version of the ABUPS report for summary
data, because there are html tags in it are useful for identifying
results. I would try to use a TimeBins report to get an average
indoor temperature at 1200. As you get more and more into using
optimization, you are probably going to need to create a little
postprocessing program to read E+ results and then output the value
for your objective function.
