RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Runtime: Windows vs Linux

Todd,

If you've got better compiler settings, scripts or other things that
would help E+ Linux users, please share. We can explore on different
Linux systems. If you're a Linux user and have special scripts or aids
to using E+ -- and willing to share, please let the team know.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Runtime: Windows vs Linux

In testing the recent version 2.2, it seems the runtime
discrepancy between the Windows version and the Linux version
remains. On the same hardware, I see the Windows version
running about 20% faster than Linux.

Any idea if this is a result of compiler differences?
Different compiler options? Math libraries? Any hope
of rectifying the Linux speed penalty?

We do runs by the thousands on a Linux cluster, so a 20%
improvement would make a huge difference.

Why is it so hard to remember the spelling of "mnemonic"?
