[EnergyPlus_Support] Sub Surface Question

Hi,

Reading through documentation, I see that for  "Surface:HeatTransfer:Sub", E+ only allows a four vertex definition of the sub surface. Not sure why this limitation is there.

Now for windows that is not rectangular, what is the best way to define them?  Subdivide each window into multiple four-sided surfaces.... Approximate window area into a rectangular shape... Define the window as a separate "Surface:HeatTransfer"... Other ideas?

I wonder what would be the drawbacks of each approach.

Thanks

-Rajaa
