[EnergyPlus_Support] Schedules

Hello,

I am a new user to EnergyPlus and I have a few questions:

Is it possible to use the default schedules from eQuest in EnergyPlus? Or does anyone know of a source of free detailed residential schedules for EnergyPlus?

If none of the above are possible, does anyone have more documentation on how the schedules work? I have looked at the I/O Reference but I don't understand how the value field works. Is it a percentage based usage? Is it possible to simply specify a number if for example you are specifying the number of people in the building?
