No. We do not have an explicit model for horizontal ground loop heat exchangers. The only ground loop heat exchanger is that of a vertical ground heat exchanger. The Ground Heat Exchanger : Surface object is used for systems like Pavement rejecters or hydronically heated slabs.
The above comments are based on the previous version. It seems the latest EnergyPlus does not add new features for simulation of ground source heat pump with horizontal loops.
I have checked E+ documents. On page 754 Engineering Reference, "when a pipe is buried deeper than about one meter, this new buried pipe model should be used." Horizontal GSHP is usually two metres deep. Does this mean that Object:Pipe:Underground with heatpump:watertowater can be used to approximately simulate horizontal GSHP system?
