All,
I tried to run a parametric run -- in M$-Windows this time. What I want
to do is to change the material so that it will have different values of
thermal mass. The snippet is as follows:
*********************
Material,M01,MediumRough,0.1016,0.89,1920,790;
Material,M02,MediumRough,0.1524,0.49,512,880;
Material,M03,MediumRough,0.2032,0.5,464,880;
Parametric:SetValueForRun,
$floorMaterial, !- Parameter Name
M01, !- Value for run 1
M02, !- Value for run 2
M03; !- Value for run 3
Construction,
Mass Floor, !- Name
=$floorMaterial; !- Layer 3
*********************
If I run that, the simulation will stop after the parametric
preprocessor with a pop-up window that says:
"No runs are enabled in the parametric input file"
Of course, the error message is wrong. There are parametric runs defined.
Solution: Just move the material objects below the parametric object.
The simulations will then run smoothly.
I would never have guessed that this is the solution because the manual
says that the order of parametric objects (as with the other objects in
EnergyPlus) is not important. Any object can be located anywhere in the
IDF file.
Nope, as it turns out, not in the case of parametric runs. Bug?
Cheers,
Ery
