[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: LEED compliance modeling.

There will be different answeres to this. I do the design case first and then modify it into a baseline. But sometimes it could be the otherway around, for example, currently I'm working on a building that has no HVAC and is naturally ventilated. Per ASHRAE it's HVAC is modelled the same as the baseline case but without excluding natural ventilation which operates when the environmental conditions make it feasable to switch off the mech equip and vent through windows. In that case it would have been simpler to do the baseline first.

I use Designbuilder to model geometry and set up construction templates, schedules, and other things and then do the HVAC almost exclusively in a text edditor after outputting the idf.
