find their capacity from .eio file

Dear Rodrigo,,

You will need to “autosize” the PFP fans, find their capacity from .eso file (or the “HVACEquipmentSizing” report), and then use that value as “Maximum Primary Air Flow Rate”, and one half for the “Minimum Secondary Air Flow Rate”, something like the example below….

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Simulation LEED _ System 8

Dear

I'm simulating a building to meet LEED

the system to use is 8 per ASHRAE (VAV with PFP Boxes)

But I have a question to the point of Ashrae G3.1.3.14

90.1-2007.

According to Ashrae, fan in parallel VAV fa Powered boxes shall be sized for 50% of the peak design flow rate, this flow corresponds to the field MAXIMUM PRIMARY AIR FLOW RATE in AirTerminal:SingleDuct:ParallelPIU:Reheat?????

According to Ashrae, minimum volumen setpoint fan powered-boxes shall be equal to 30% of peak design flow rate or the rate required to meet the minimum outdoor air ventilation requirement, this flow corresponds to the field MINIMUM PRIMARY AIR FLOW FRACTION en AirTerminal:SingleDuct:ParallelPIU:Reheat, expressed as a fraction?????

Thank.

Best Regards.

Rodrigo Pérez.
