Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Revit MEP VS EPlus

Dear Michael, Revit and Energyplus are two different tool for different jobs. You can load lots of building information into revit, including U values and thermal zones,  but you can't perform energy simulations. What you can do is export your Revit models as Gbxml into DesingBuilder or Scketchup to then export this into Eplus. This process is not smooth at all, and in my experience is very time consuming.

Best, Santiago.

Hi Guys/Girls,

Iâ??ve just recently discovered Revit MEP, and I was just wondering, has anyone been using AutoDeskâ??s Revit MEP package or ever compared it to Energy Plus? Do you see one overtaking over the market share of the other?

Thanks,
