Agreed. The design day is for sizing heating equipment in this case and should assume middle of the night or morning warm-up conditions when no internal loads are present.
If you have a read through the compact schedule documentation you can override the design day schedules and others using certain “flags”. Maybe someone else can identify where a list of those flags are in the documentation.
