[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: why the U-factor changes
Are you trying to model the Baseline case? According to other replies, the minimum U-value in ASHRAE 90.1 is the U-value of the assembly with surface film.
I guess you are doing a LEED certified project. Based on my experience, this is a minor issue and sometimes it depends on what review team gets to review your submittals. They may or may not care.
