Hello everyone,
I am trying to model an office building in Bogota, Colombia, that uses only natural ventilation. This building has a relatively small atrium (3x3m^2) with a skylight above. However, this skylight has lateral (east and west) vents that allow some kind of wind and stack ventilation. To better describe the skylight, consider that it is in a higher plane than the roof, which is flat.
I am currently modelling the whole building ventilation with AirflowNetwork, but I am not sure of how to model the skylight. My first attempt was to create a horizontal window, co-planar to the roof, and add infiltration. I am not completely satisfied with this because to my understanding it is only considering the pressure difference but not the wind direction.
What do you recommend?
For your information, I am not using a graphic interface like Google Sketchup or Design Builder, only IDF Editor.
Thanks.
