RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Tent Modeling in EnergyPlus

I don't have any experience but maybe you can treat the problem as a building that it's insulated by a canvas. You know the thermal resistance and you know the infiltration rate. so you can simulate your building. The double wall is like a double skin facade. The answer is very  simple you know in winter it's very cold inside and in summer it's very hot, because there is no any thermal resistance in the wall. What do you think?

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Tent Modeling in EnergyPlus

Hi EnergyPlus Community,

Has anyone out there had any experience modeling large double-walled canvas tents?  I’m looking for literature on the topic and recommended modeling strategies for accounting for the convection heat transfer between the inner shell and outer rain-fly-like shell.  The air gap between the two shells is large, typically between 14 and 27 inches.  The hope is that all the modeling can be done in EnergyPlus. Any advice or references would be a great help!

Thanks,
Lesley
