Very good question. The infiltration value that you have was calculated from a test (blower door)???? If this its true, you can model one thermal zone for all the building. You will have an infiltration value for each wall and after you can use it for the ariflownetwork.

I have 5 thermal zones all with windows attached. I know that 133m3/h refers to the whole building. Do I have to break (or divide) this 133 m3/h value for each zone ( n=q/v by getting the 5 zone volumes , for example V1= 50m2, n =133/50 ...etc ) thank you From: oscar hernandez <oscarhernandez_81@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: energyplus_support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, 5 June 2012, 11:06 Subject: RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] infiltration
Hi Teo,
The infiltrations values on a building depend on orientation (wind direction). If you have a value of 133 m³/h, for me, the best solution it's to simulate the buliding only with this value of infiltration (design infiltration), after you are going to have the infiltration value per wall (N, S, E ,W) with this you can calculate an infiltration surface for the airflownetwork. Let me know if you need help! Oscar. As far as the infiltration is concerned, I am given a value of 133 m3/h and I guess that this value concerns the whole building. How can I use this value for each thermal zone? Do I have to find out the volume of each thermal zone and solve the n=q/v (ach) equation for each thermal zone? thank you, theo From: Thodwris Xaritidis <maki_to_fai@xxxxxxxxx> To: "EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, 3 June 2012, 14:15 Subject: Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] infiltration-nat. ventilation Hello again, In the building that I am simulating I ve been given a value for infiltration and one for nat vent for the whole building. Is there
any option to e+ to apply the total infiltration/ vent. portion automatically in the whole construction? Or else how can I be sure which are the correct values for each zone? thank you From: FrancescoP <direzionecontraria@xxxxxxxx> To: EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, 3 June 2012, 10:43 Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: GetSpecificHeatGlycol: Temperature is out of range I have the same problem:
