I inserted your macros in an arbitrary E+ v7.2 imf file, and the version updater does not seem to have any problem converting it to v8.0. Could it be your Mac
version of the updater causing problems?

I'm struggling to get my models to convert from version 7 to version 8. Using the version updater tool some of the simple formulas get through the conversion process, but the more complicated ones don't. For example the one below doesn't appear in the v8 version
at all, and then when I try and run it it complains that it can't find the objects that are defined by this formula...

I'm pretty confident it isn't a problem of too many characters - I've tried replacing the object names with single letters and it still doesn't get through.
