RE: Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Loads not met when using HVACTemplate Objects

Thanks for replying back Oscar

I was using a relatively small tolerance for hours not met in OutputControl:ReportingTolerances

Changed to 0.5 deltaT and this flag basically goes away.

Try to modify the sizing factor. And look carefully the internal walls maybe the conctats are not ok.

Good luck.

Hi Everyone,

I am running some batch simulations which swap in/out HVACTemplate objects for various mechanical systems all being auto-sized.

I am noticing that HTMLs indicate that many systems have 100's of hours where heating/cooling loads are not met. I can make some headway by modifying each file directly but the process is very slow. Since I am comparing systems directly, I need to ensure that setpoints are equally for all options.

Does anyone have advice on how I should be approaching this? Can it be solved from the HVACTemplate level (ie without modifying expanded IDFs)?

Many Thanks,

Scott
