Hi guys, just to keep you informed...DesignBuilder are working on a daysim kind of development (because it uses weather file data). Once this is complete, I will be able to make direct comparisons to the e+ daylighting calculation which I've been planing for years...so watch this space. In the past 5 years I have seen quite a few improvements on its daylighting module (which uses radiance). One bug-fix in particular made a huge difference...from memory that was around 2012-2013. So if you haven't tried it for a while, it may be worth running your old models in the new versions and comparing the results.
Cheers,
Jean
ÂHi Ivan,Usually I use Daysim and Radiance for daylight simulation. These softwares are freeware and easy to use. There is a lot of material available on internet about them. In my experience with DesignBuilder I saw that its results are underestimated in comparison with other softwares. For annual availability of daylight I use Daysim with a plugin for SketchUp.Best regards,Daniel de Oliveira AmaralArquitetura & Consultoria(31) 8674-9764Em Quarta-feira, 11 de Novembro de 2015 15:51, "Ivan Mezzacapa de Souza ivan_slip@xxxxxxxxxxx [EnergyPlus_Support]" <EnergyPlus_Support@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> escreveu:

I draw the window on model with the skylights characteristics, but, the results are very different to reality.ÂSomeone can help with this? I attached the archive here if helps.ÂThank you!ÂTecg.
