[EnergyPlus_Support] stack effect
suggestions please:
large veritcal openings can have air flow moving simultaneously in two different directions depending on stack effects and wind conditions (for eg. flow from inside to outside at the top of a window, and from outside to inside at the bottom) - I/O manual (energyplus)
CAN it also suggest/model that air be coming in from vertical openings on the lower floors and moving up a stack (modeled as large cracks) to exit out the tower/chimney or one of the top floors if stack effect/wind pressures are not conducive??
i am also trying to see if this high mass section (attached) will run passively in a given climate or whether an installation of extract fans be required at certain times to facilitate air flow from the perimeter openings at the lower levels. WOULD this be possible in EnergyPlus (COMIS). if yes, then how reliable would the results be?
thank you, ~mohit
