[EnergyPlus_Support] surface area of the internal mass Vs building internal heat capacity

Hello every body
   
  I would like to know if the surface area of the internal mass is used only to calculate the internal heat capacity Cz because I find strange results when I change this surface area  to obtain buildings from heavy to light.
