[EnergyPlus_Support] Comfort indices
I want to do annual simulations of buildings and get an overall
comfort rating for them. I am considering integrating one of the
comfort indices over a year to get PMVscalehours as a comparable
measure of occupant comfort.
I read the engineering reference on the comfort indices but I cannot
understand the application of the 4 Pierce indicators, particularly
the PMVET and PMVSET. Which is the best indicator and do they differ
for different climates and building types? I am in Botswana and wonder
what would be the best comfort index to use for our semi-arid climate
with conditioned and unconditioned buildings?
