Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Pump on Demand Side = True ?

Vinay:

Right now that is true.  A future release will merge all plant and condenser features together, so that you will be able to use a primary/secondary system in condenser loops.

Edwin,

Is it only possible to place a secondary pump in a Plant loop using Common Pipe simulation? Is it not possible in the case of a condenser loop?

Thank You One very mutch for the help.

There can only be a demand side pump if there is a common pipe simulation in place, in which case there will be both demand and supply pumps.  The pump cannot be passive, because it will always want to be the component setting the flow.

You may be able to approximate the energy consumption if you know the required flow rates throughout the simulation and can approximate the pump head.

Good Afternoon Fellow Energyplus Users

Does anyone know if it´s possible to place a pump in the demand side of a plant network? The pump will be passive placed in series with an active component like a ZoneHVAC:BassBoard. I just want the energy consumpion of the Pump.

Thank You Once Again
