Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Need the EPW file

If you contact your local weather station you will have actual meteorological year data (AMY), this is not advised due to year specific fluctuations. Typical meteorological year (TMY)data averages the last 30 years so that the simulation is based on average weather rather for a single for a year that may have been out of the historical norm.
You might want to have a company called weather analytics generate you a EPW TMY file, I think they charge $70.

You need to read the list mail -- there is a meteonorm file on this yahoo group site.  As I told him in an earlier email.

In addition there is a list of what files are on this yahoo group site in the files area -- Meteonorm folder.

Hi Professor,

There is no pre-made .epw file for Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico on the EnergyPlus website, thus you must make your own. You do this by contacting your local weather data authority and ask them for as many of the following weather properties as possible for the year you want to test.
