RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Preconditioning Air to FCU

The Zone object itself is a mixer box like the OA mixer.

The zone has two inlets and tow outlets.

The FCU makes use of one set of these, and the DOAS use the other inlet through a damper.

The inlet air are mixed in the zone.  Part goes to the fan coil unit and recycled.  The amount from the DOAS is allowed to leave the exhaust node into the environment, to the OA inlet...

Because the DOAS system does not require the returned air  to be processed, that is the simple old configuration, before the templates were introduced.

DOAS is just a name.  The condo apartment has DOAS to feed the  corridors on every floor and exhaust through leaks to apartments, elevator shafts.  The air is heated in WInter and cooled in SUmmer.

Each apartment has a FCU.  The leak from the door can be the minimum fresh air requirement.

I looked through the example file list. There is both a DOAS with FCU and a DOAS with WSHP. However, both of them have OA into zone instead of into the zone unit.

I thought about attempting to connect the DOAS outlet into the FCU mixing box, but putting a node that isn't an outdoorair:node on the outdoor air inlet would probably kick back an error.
