Mmm...there are usually report variables availible for surfaces. The keyword "surface" should be in there somewhere. The variables you mentioned seem mainly "zone average" types which apply to all the zone facing surfaces. The "surface" variables you need, you'll need to replace the wild card '*' with the specific surface name. You'll obviously be looking for radiation and convection rates from this specific surface.
I've only looked at temperature until now, but I'm sure Jerimia has controlled the heat flows more concisely.

I wasn't aware of the Output:VariableDictionary,IDF; and *.rdd
features in EnergyPlus, and am now able to get some of the hourly
variables of interest.����
However, I still haven't an output variable giving the net heat flow
from an interior surface into a zone.���� What I see in the *.rdd are
just these five variables for interior surfaces:

Zone Average [C]
Output:Variable,*,Surface Int Convection Coeff,hourly; !- Zone

I've extracted the 3rd and 5th ones, but found they were the same
when converted to the same units.���� They also seem too small to be
the total heat flow from the surface. Are there any other variables
that track the radiative heat flow or the conductive heat flow from
the surface?

I'm doing some diagnostic simulations comparing
EnergyPlus to another program (not DOE-2 :-)), and
need to extract hourly variables for zone air
temperature, inside surface temperature and heat
fluxes through an interior wall.���� I took some old
IDFs from 6 years ago, ran them through the
IDFVersionUpdater to get Version 8.0 IDFs, and used
the resultant reporting for the zone air
temperature, but I'm not getting anything in the
output *.eso.
