Hhhmmm, sounds very confusing for something that should be simple and direct, in my humble opinion. So the "Start Year" doesn't affect the simulation in any discernible way? So what's the purpose for adding it to the IDD? The "Day of Week for Start Day", whether it's defined in the
weather file or set by the user, strikes me as an odd input that's
much better achieved by setting the Year. I mean, one would have
to check the calendar to know what Day of Week is the first day of
the weather file, but if you know the Year then you can calculate
the Julian Day and get the Day of Week for all the days in the
weather file. As far as giving flexibility to override the
starting Day of Week, setting the Year would also provide that as
well.
